Closet Crush

So everyone knows that I really love fashion so today I want to do a “closet crush”, my closets nice, it’s a standard closet for a master bedroom but it’s just not beg enough! Not only have I kicked my husband’s clothes out of our master bedroom closet which he now keeps them in the guess bedroom but I have also had to take over 3 other closets in our home just to house my clothing and shoe collection.

Anyway, I love my closet but here are a few other closets that I have fallen in love with!

Who Loves Fall Boot Looks!

I love fall for so many different reasons but one of my favorites is because in the Fall I get to pull out some of my favorite boots and dress up my jeans with a great boot look!  Normally I try to pick out my work outfits at night because I’m a Type A person who cannot stand to be rushing around in the morning not knowing what I’m wearing and if you’ve seen my closet you’d know that I have so many clothes that if I don’t make sure it’s there the night before, I night end up being 2 hours late for work just looking for it!
So last night I had 2 outfits in mind for work today it something told me to go with the boot look and I’m so glad I did because when I got here another girl had on a similar look to the second outfit I was considering and I HATE when other people look like me so I’m pleased with my outfit today!
Today I’m wearing brownish orange cardigan sweater with a black skirt that has orange-ish gold specks and a brown belt with a gold buckle and brown boots so I decided to do a Fall boot trend post!

This first look is 1 dress, 3 different looks:
I love how boots can take your look in different directions.

This next look is a really colorful and is great for anyone who likes to wear colorful stalkings with boots

These next 2 looks just display different looks you can wear with boots.
There are really so many different looks! Be creative!
There are really so many different looks! Be creative!

Okay ladies, You may be wondering about this next look but in all honestly, these boots are super edgy and giver your outfits a touch of personality!

And these last looks are just a few more boot looks that I love!

Booties or ankle boots:
Colorful looks to brighten any outfit!

Boots with a skirt or dress, super cute!

Just A Recap On My Life....

Happy Monday loves,

I have not really posted in a while because I have been super busy with well… life! So I’m going to do a lil recap on what’s been going on in my life so far…

As you all know my blog turned 1 so I had a big celebration! I’m still in school and counting down the days until graduation! I can hardly wait! I’m over all of this year’s earlier drama and so moving on! I’ve been to a ton of shows, fashion and trend shows and planning to go to a few more! I’m learning so much about trends, style and fashion that I can hardly keep up!

I lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers and keeping it off! I’m so proud of myself! My husband and I are getting along swell and are really in the best place we have ever been! We had a big break threw a while back and I think it helped up grow closer so I couldn’t be happier about that!

My pup Coco is turning 5 in a few weeks so I need to do something special for her, maybe a new leash or a bag of doggie bones! I started making my YouTube video and love you all so much for subscribing! Thanks darlings!

What else?? I know so much has happened but it’s all going by so fast that I honestly cannot keep track!

Oh yeah, I’m going to Berlin and Amsterdam in about 2 weeks so that should be exciting!

Girl In The City...

So I haven’t blogged in a while because of school, vacation and a few other things going on. July 4th weekend was long and really great! I hated going back to work but here’s the good news I’m headed to the beach this weekend and even better, I’m going to Miami the following weekend so its beach overload for me this summer but honestly is there really anything better than the beach!!

So this week I really need to get back to blogging and mainly I need to cover some fashion topics because there’s so many new styles out there right now and some great trends that I’ve seen over the past few weeks. Also I can’t wait to hit the streets in Miami and see the trends out there! I actually might see if I can get into Miami fashion week next year, it’s March 21-24 and I actually know a PR girl who invited me this year but I wasn’t able to make it. Fingers crossed that I can go next year!

This week has been rough going back to work but I have one more day and then a three day weekend. I’ve recently started riding my bike and getting some great exercise in, I rode for an hour last night and got a bit of a tan so now I look extra cute! LOL!

I’m a big Netflix’s fan and I’m catching up on all the old seasons of The City! I love it and its helping me get back on focus for my blogging because the reason I started blogging was because 1.) I love to write and 2.) I love fashion and wanted to express that to the world! It’s also making me want to take another trip to NYC soon!

What am I doing right now:  Checking out some sites that I haven’t had an opportunity to look at yet but have heard rave reviews about: The first is Seaofshoes.com and the second is fashionologie.com

So in the spirit of  FTLOB’s Thursday blog hop, here is a super yummy summer drink which I actually found over at Natural Noshing, a great site for health and fitness!

Banana Buddy Shake: Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana
1 cup of non-dairy milk (I used vanilla almond milk or rice milk but cow’s is fine too)
1 1/2 Tbsp unsalted peanut butter (any nut or seed butter will work here)
1/2 tsp gluten free vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground flaxseed (optional but provides a good source of Omega-3s)
pinch of sea salt, optional but so yummy!
dash of cinnamon (plus more for sprinkling on top, if desired)
ice cubes
Directions
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until combined. Drink and enjoy!

Fashion Overload!

This weekend or I guess I should say about 5 hours of my Friday evening were spent cleaning our my walk-in closet and if your someone whose knows me well enough you probably already know that 5 hours was not enough time (this is usually a 3 day event)!  Yes, I’ll admit it, I have a ton of clothes and every season or rather winter and summer I pack up the old and unpack the new.  I’m a “seasoner” or someone who packs up the clothes that can no longer be worn in the upcoming season.  I still have a bit more to do and have not even gotten to the shoes, that another 3 hours! (maybe next weekend.)

So back to the point, I spent a better part of my Friday in my closet marveling over all my colorful summer clothes that had been boxed up for the last year.

There were so many outfits I had forgotten about and so many items that I cannot wait to wear.
I was trying on dresses and tops, slipping into skirts and summer shorts. It was a wonderland of color and texture, and my husband just rolled his eyes while my dog made herself a bed in the pile of clothes I planned on discarding.

Then Saturday afternoon hubby took me to some vintage shops that I had been talking non-stop about all week. I picked up some more wonderful pieces to add to my summer collection!
I’m very excited about a vintage Diana Von Furstenberg dress and vintage Marc Jacobs top I found. Total spent: $56.00, not bad I'd say!

Oh before I forget, on Friday morning I contacted the Executive Director of DC Fashion Week to inquire about a press pass. Fingers cross that I will be able to attend and cover the event! I’d love to see the latest trends and styles on the runways!

Lastly, I just purchased
"A Year In High Heels” by Camilla Morton, a London Based Fashion Writer, which I’m really looking forward to reading! With a forward by Manolo Blahnik which I've already read and LOVE!!

So I decided to Theme this weekend: Fashion Overload!
