Tomorrows the big day and I can hardly wait!! It’s the IFBConference that I’ve been blogging about all month! I’m working my but off today at the office since I will be out for the next few days at the conference and then to recoup from the trip and re-blog my trip!

You have no idea how excited I am! The only down side is I have to leave the house by 3:00am to make my 4:00am train! That’s crazy but totally worth it to me! I’ll have tons of pictures and will be streaming from my blog for those of you who can’t make it so please check it out!!

What I’m I looking forward to the most? Well I’m really excited to hear Joe Zee present; I’ve seen him on The City and love his since of style and personality!!

After I leave work I’m headed home to charge my batteries in my camera and Mac Book, and pick out the perfect outfit!! It’s defiantly going to rain so I have to make sure I’m in something warm but super cute! I know just the place for in expensive and cute gear, Forever 21!

I’ll post my F21 haul when I get home tonight and Pose my outfit for the big event!

Did Someone Say "Fashion?"

This week’s theme is all about fashion and all the glitz that comes along with it!
As you all may or may not be aware, I live near the DC area and lately we’ve been hit hard by Mother Nature.  But the good news is that everything we've gone through these past few weeks is over and done with and in the process has made us stronger (Earthquake and Hurricane Irene) and though some of you West Coasters may snicker at our lil ole 5.9 earthquake, we just shake your laughter off and keep it moving, that’s the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) way!

Although these natural disasters may have put a temporary damper on our spirits and forced us to reschedule some very important events, but now we have Labor Day weekend fast approaching so we can relax and put all this behind us!

So now, and DMV fashionistas you may want to pay close attention to this because we have some great things to look forward to this month like Fashion’s Night Out happening on September 8th and lets not forget the big event that I’ve had my fingers crossed to attend for months, DC Fashion Week on September 19 – 25th.

I love fashion and I love creating great outfits to wear each day to work, you can actually see some of them posted on Pose so as you can imagine, I love the month of September here in the DMV! I also know a few other bloggers who are planning to attend the Independent Fashion Blogger NYC Conference next week so there is so much going on right now for fashion bloggers and fashionistas not only in the DMV but also all up and down the East Coast so take that Irene!

Oh by the way, I just received my new blogger business cards in the mail, which I believe every serious blogger should have. I’m definitely talking them with me to the IFB conference next week!

I'm Going To The IFB NYC Conference on Sept 7th!

I’m really excited because I have finalized my trip to NYC in September! It's not just any trip, nope it’s for a blogger conference hosted through IFB in which I’m a member! There’s been so much buzz going on right now about this conference and being part of it is so exciting! Last year I was only able to watch the live feed from my desk and dream about going. Then this past Tuesday I found out there was going to be another one in September so I talked to my husband and though I feel he was a bit reluctant, he agreed to let me go!

Today I’ve been tweeting and talking to others who are also planning to attend mainly to get some ideas and its only making it that much more exciting! Last year 300 attendees were at the conference so I imagine there will be that much more this year. New bloggers pop up every 5 minutes and I'm sure some of them will be at this conference!

So I just finished booking my tickets from DC to NYC, only a 3 hour train ride and bought my ticket to the conference, then switched my schedule around with my co-worker and told my boss I’d be out of the office that day then breathed a sign of relief and a felt a tickle of excitement!

It's hard to explain just how important I hear attending these conference are, not only for networking but for learning how to better market your blog, build great content and get a higher readership, these are all things that I want, not to mention need for my blog and website to succeed!

So I your going to the Independent Fashion Blogger NYC Conference this upcoming September,  give me a shout out and maybe I’ll see you there!
