Who Loves Fall Boot Looks!

I love fall for so many different reasons but one of my favorites is because in the Fall I get to pull out some of my favorite boots and dress up my jeans with a great boot look!  Normally I try to pick out my work outfits at night because I’m a Type A person who cannot stand to be rushing around in the morning not knowing what I’m wearing and if you’ve seen my closet you’d know that I have so many clothes that if I don’t make sure it’s there the night before, I night end up being 2 hours late for work just looking for it!
So last night I had 2 outfits in mind for work today it something told me to go with the boot look and I’m so glad I did because when I got here another girl had on a similar look to the second outfit I was considering and I HATE when other people look like me so I’m pleased with my outfit today!
Today I’m wearing brownish orange cardigan sweater with a black skirt that has orange-ish gold specks and a brown belt with a gold buckle and brown boots so I decided to do a Fall boot trend post!

This first look is 1 dress, 3 different looks:
I love how boots can take your look in different directions.

This next look is a really colorful and is great for anyone who likes to wear colorful stalkings with boots

These next 2 looks just display different looks you can wear with boots.
There are really so many different looks! Be creative!
There are really so many different looks! Be creative!

Okay ladies, You may be wondering about this next look but in all honestly, these boots are super edgy and giver your outfits a touch of personality!

And these last looks are just a few more boot looks that I love!

Booties or ankle boots:
Colorful looks to brighten any outfit!

Boots with a skirt or dress, super cute!

Essential Items For Any Gal's Wardrobe:

Okay ladies, I’m taking this post back to the basics with a few essential items that every gal should have in her closet go giver her wardrobe a kick start!

Here’s the quick list and I’ll break it down in further detail below:

·

 A skirt
·         A great pair of heels

·         One fabulous hand bag or clutch
·         A flattering pair of jeans
·         Slacks or dress pans in black or brown/tan
·         Classic LBD (Little Black Dress)
·         Classic white button down shirt
·         A Cashmere/Cardigan sweater
·         Fashion jewelry to accent your outfits

Okay so now that you have the hot list, let me go in to further detail for you. First and foremost here a bit of a tip, I like to make my bottoms neutral and my tops more open or colorful this way I can mix and match them while still adding a bit if color and class to my look.

Make sure the skirt is flattering, if you look better in a petite or pencil skirt then go with that, if you like A-Line skirts the take that route but whatever you do make sure it accentuates your body type.

For the shoes, well if you know anything about me, you know that I L-O-V-E shoes so to say have only one great pair of heels is like me saying eat only once a day, it can’t be done. Since this is a started wardrobe post I’m going to keep it simple and say have 2 great pairs of heels that go with anything, preferably a classic black pair and a tan or brown because these are more likely to go with more outfits. There’s been a merger between the pointy toe and the round toe right now that I’m in love with so try that if you can’t decide on either.

Your handbag is the gem to your look, the cherry to your chocolate Sunday so make it really stand out! I love playing with colors and patterns so try something new, step out on a ledge and go for it!

Jeans are a must for any outfit and there are so many types, colors and styles so I’m going to leave this one to you! Play around, have fun and maybe if you’ve never tried it, put on a pair of skinny jeans with a flowy top! You might like the look!

Every gal needs a pair of dress pants for work, for a nice dinner or just for a special occasion.   There really isn’t too much to this, but like the skirt, make sure it’s flattering to your body, not too tight not too high wasted and so on.

Classic little black dress is a must-have in your closet it is so versatile and can be worn in so many different ways to make sure you have one in there, somewhere!  I love adding touches to my LBD like a broach or a colorful blazer, boots one day or heel’s the next. Even in the fall with a jean jacket and casual shoes, there are just so many options for the LBD.

Classic white button down shirt can be worn with a suit, under a vest, tucked into a skirt or a pair of dress pants or even as a casual weekend ware with jeans and flats. Side note: get a few of these in different colors to add flair to your wardrobe.

A Cashmere/Cardigan sweater is a topper for a work look. It’s clean and stylish while still looking cute and professional.

Lastly, fashion jewelry is just another piece of the pie; it adds flair, flash and a personal touch. You can spice up almost any outfit with a great necklace, broach, earrings, or bracelet and you can find these items at almost any shop or store. I love Charming Charlie’s because they have so many options plus its all color coordinated into shopping sections. Think scarves, belts, textured or patterned stalking, fashion jewelry can be so many things!

I hope this helps any of you lovely ladies who are trying to update your Fall look this season! Keep it simple but keep it fashionably stylish with a touch of you!

Lucky Magazine & Dior Pretty Party

So if you’ve been following me on Twitter, watching my vlogs on YouTube or reading my website then you know that last night I was invited to a Lucky Magazine and Dior Pretty Party Girls Night out by the lovely Grace Croshaw! Grace was given the chance to host a Lucky Magazine Pretty Party in conjunction with Dior at Tyson’s Corner Bloomingdale’s and got to invite a few others to a night of special treatment and I was lucky enough to be one of the chosen few! I met a great group of girls including Ann, Lindsey, Stephanie and of course Grace who are all featured below in the pictures.

Look, that's me and the outfit I wore to the Pretty Party! Cute huh?
I was super excited about this event because I had never attended an event hosted by Lucky Magazine & Dior before though funny enough, I’ll be attending another Lucky Magazine event later this month so I guess when it rains, it pours!

So Back to the Pretty Party… I arrived at the Dior Make-up counter newly located in Bloomingdale’s and was greeted by lovely Dior Account Executive, Nasrin Sheibani.  As soon as all the girls arrived we were rushed off to our own private beauty area where we were offered the most delicious cupcakes from CakeLove (a local cupcake shop in DC).

Our Makeup guide for the night was world renowned Sheba Vignale who was fabulous at showing us the tips and tricks for a smoky eye look! She has been working for Dior for the last 17 years and travels all over the world teaching girls and women how to properly care for their skin and face. Not only were we given a complete make over but all the make-up artist let us practice so that we could do the look ourselves when were no longer had a professional doing our makeup!
Grace getting her makeover done by Sheba Vignale
Me after I took all my makeup off, OMG, I can't believe I'm posting this!

Grace was our model who ended up looking like a beauty queen! Sheba introduced us to the full line of Dior facial products and let us sample each one. I was so amazed at how the cleaning products completely removed my makeup!

Lindsey & Ann gettin' all prettied up! I love Lindsey's hair color!
Some of the Dior product's that we used.

I had a wonderful time and learned some excellent makeup tips and even left with a bag full of Dior products! I was sold on the Dior Celebration Collection, which is a multi-look makeup palette that comes in a super cute carrying case. I also purchased the Dior Show Brow Styler Pen, which is like magic; it comes in only one color but conforms to any eyebrow color no matter what color it is. They used the same one on all of us and we all had different color brows but the Brow Styler somehow matched each one of your bows! AMAZING! The last product I left with was the Waterproof Eyeliner Crayon in Noir. Most of my current lines run and smear throughout the day but this one does not so I was happy to add it to my makeup collection!

Lindsey, Stephanie and Ann all getting/doing their smoky eye looks!

So check out the pictures, don’t we all look so fabulous! Oh and did I mention that not only were we given makeovers, beauty tips and cupcakes but we were given a Dior Beauty makeup case, a Lucky Magazine and a Bloomingdale’s gift card worth $20.00 toward the purchase of any Dior product! What a great girls night out!

Me after my Dior Makeover, I look fab!

Doesn't Stephanie look amazing!

And here we all are: left to right: Me, Ann, Grace, Lindsey and Stephine

Weekly Roundup: Events On The Horizon

So I have not blogged for a few days because I was allowing time for people to enter the contest but I really want to get some more content on my blog so if you’re interested in entering the contest, you still have a week, just click here.

So the theme of this past week is… well in all honesty there is no theme, it’s just been one big hosh-posh of crazyness!

Some of the stuff I can blog about and some I just don’t think I want to because its sorta personal and hurtful on some level… Though a lot of the week has been good, a lot of it was pretty trying and difficult but I look at these things a lessons to get me to something bigger and better!

I received a lot of invites to some pretty fab events in my area and one of my favorites is the Lucky Magazine and Doir Pretty Party.  This  was very exclusive and I got invited so you can imagine that I was thrilled out of my boots to learn I'd be going!! I’m so excited and have to go out and look for something pink to wear! In October I’m also attending a few other events like the DC Hearts of Arts and an Exclusive DC Film Premiere, Fashion for the Cure, and Pink Rocks the Runway as well as trying to plan for a Fall Festival event on Oct 31st!

Also make sure you check out my vlog on YouTube and if you have not already done so, please subscribe and add me as a friend! I have some great tips and fashion advice as well as just some funny entries and so much more going on!

On a personal note, I finished last semester and am right back in the mix starting a new one this week so my schedule is so jam packed that its crazy sometimes!
